Chinese Children’s Song: Itsy Bitsy Spider

In this post, we are going to learn a Chinese kids song based on a very popular English nursery rhyme: Itsy Bitsy Spider (小蜘蛛) (xiǎo zhī zhū ).

The interesting thing is, even though this English Children’s song is very popular, however, it is not easy to find a Chinese version of this song.

I translated this song and created this video. I hope this video will help you sing this lovely song in Chinese.

I know some people prefer to read Pinyin, in this video, you will find both Pinyin and English translation. However, I suggest you to read Chinese characters first to see if you can read  these characters without Pinyin.

In my post: English, Pinyin or Chinese Characters, I mentioned that Pinyin is just a tool to help you read Chinese characters but you can’t rely on Pinyin all the time.

Reading Chinese characters directly is your final goal.

In case you don’t know, on my blog, I already shared several simple children’s songs in Mandarin Chinese: Two Tigers, Number Song, Happy Birthday, Ten Little Friends and Little Stars.

By the way, if you have any ideas about the song or video, I would love to hear from you. Thank you. 谢谢.
